Welcome to the team, Lori! I'm Heather. 30 yrs old. Single mom to 2 little girls, Lola (age 9) and Alana (age 8). Both are special needs. Alana doesn't live with us, though. She's in a home for disabled children, as she requires around the clock care. She has cerebral palsy, among other issues. My daughter Lola has Asperger's and ADHD. It definitely makes things a little harder when our children have medical issues, doesn't it?!

How old are your children?

Glad to see you are doing something for you! As moms, that's important. We tend to neglect ourselves, and I think that's often how we end up in these situations with our weight and being out of shape.

Good luck to you on your goals! I also have a twitter account. www.twitter.com/hncotton and a facebook account www.facebook.com/hnc82 if you'd like to add me.

Heather

24/7 single mom of three amazing children. Aren't al of our children amazing? I was down to only two at home, but a medical discharge brought my oldest back home. It is certainly a challenge having an "adult" child back in the home! Any tips or advice? Fortunately for me he wants to be here, and my youngest son couldn't be happier.

So the week before Christmas, and I am doing something for me - finally taking the steps to lose that weight that doesn't seem to want to go anywhere. When I look in the mirror - I see one person, when I look at pictures, I find myself asking - who is that girl? I figure it is time to make bring who I see and who I am together!

My long term goal is quite a ways off; so I want to keep it realistic. 25 pounds in 12 weeks - should be doable right? I hope so! Looking forward to meeting you. Thank you, in advance for your support!
