I'm actually quite new at this, I started dieting just before Christmas,and joined SP just after, so I don't know that I'm the one to come to for advice! LOL

I started the same as you, by tracking EVERYTHING that I ate for a few days. (Now that school has started I've become a little more slack, oops!) But those few days were totally eye opening for me! Just by realizing how much I was eating, I've been able to cut down to actual portion sizes... and have discovered that food tastes so much better that way!!! LOL
Exercise-wise, I'm trying to incorporate my kids in with me as much as possible... to get them moving, and to keep being stuck inside as an excuse to not move :) ie. we do the workout videos that THEY like, so that they join in, I let them exercise with the ball while I use the bands, that kind of stuff :)

Right now the goal that I am working on is actually realizing exactly how many calories I eat. When I reflect on what I eat in one day, I think that it is really not much, but when I track the calories on here I am always over what I should have for one day. The other goal that I am working on right now is trying to involve more activity into my day instead of being on my computer all of the time. I would be happy to help you with advice if you ever need some. :) Have a good weekend.

Hi Jen! Welcome to the team!
I've got three kids, and my youngest is a boy... so I may be coming to you for advice!!! ;)

Do you have a specific goal that you are shooting for, or just overall feeling great about yourself and your health?

Hello my name is Jen and I am new to this site. I am a single mom of a 9 yr. old son. I have been heavy most of my life and I have a lot of things to work on. Right now I am just trying to work on one thing at a time. I am hoping to be able to lose some weight and be able to keep it off. Well good luck to you all.
