The best advice I can give you is to make small changes....don't try to completely overhaul your eating habits in one day! Or even a few months...

Start with one small change, and as that becomes a habit, make another small change. Eventually, you will find that you will consistently be making better choices!

Also, I do not forbid myself from having anything...I just have it less often or a smaller portion. Or look for more healthy ways to prepare your favorites. I have found that substituting whole grain flour in pancakes and banana bread works well and tastes pretty much the same. And I feel better knowing that it is better for me that way! Sparks Recipes is another great resource for this...I am going to try a mini cheesecake recipe from there this weekend.

I have set myself a goal of losing 90lbs by June next year! The thing that worries me most is the prospect of trying to stay with a healthy eating plan from now on so I do lose the weight but then keep it off! Has anyone any bright ideas how to motivate oneself to do this??
