Welcome to the team! It sounds like you have quite a lot going on. But you also have found a great support group to help you! I can't help on the birth control issue, as I stopped a long time ago taking it. I do hope you find something that will help you. We can help with the exercise & nutrition part.

No matter what you're feeling on the inside, if your outward appearance looks good, people will give you positive comments. These positive comments will help you on the inside.

Hi all, I'm Becca and I'm 20 years old, mother to 5-year-old Greyson and birthmother to Isaac who will turn one on Thursday. I first got fat during my first pregnancy. I used to be teeny tiny until my body had to grow up way too fast--at age 15. I gained 40 pounds and was able to lose a lot of that weight after Grey was born. However, I went on the depo shot for birth control and got up to over 200 pounds. After I changed my diet and began exercising vigorously and none of it made any difference, I finally figured out that it was the depo. I decided to go off the birth control and within a month, 32 pounds melted right off.

Then I got pregnant again last year and I've pretty much gained it all back even though I actually only gained about 15 pounds during the pregnancy. I saw a doctor yesterday and he firmly believes it's the birth control again. I hate the idea of going off this birth control because it cost a TON of money and most of it came from my parents....

Anyway, sorry for the novel, just wanted to tell my story, and maybe find out from all the moms out there if the birth control trouble happened to you as well? I can't do the pill (I was on the pill both times I got pregnant--my body just doesn't respond to it), and I was just informed that the implanon is exactly the same as the depo, even though my former doctor assured me that it would be completely different! emoticon
