Hi! I recently just turned 30! I live in south Texas. I have an 8 year old son. Newly remarried and my husband does not have any children of his own. We'd like to start trying for a baby but i currently weigh more now than i did when i was 9 months pregnant the first time. I had a rough pregnancy with my son so I can't imagine getting pregnant right now and be healthy. I have heard of people continuing to lose weight healthily while being pregnant. I'd like to lose at least 20-30 lbs before coming pregnant or lose/maintain the weight I am now if i were to become pregnant. We got married in April and so far we've been unsuccessful, which is okay. These things take time haha.

I wish everyone the best of luck in their own personal journeys.

Hello everyone! I am a 30yo librarian in Nebraska and my husband and I recently decided to try for a baby. I struggle with infertility and PCOS, but we can't afford fertility treatments (my insurance doesn't cover them), and he isn't willing to adopt, so before we consider a surrogate we are going to give NFP a try. I have had one confirmed miscarriage before, and two where I didn't go to the doctor because of how horribly I was treated the first time. I've been told that it will be difficult to conceive and unlikely I can carry to term.

I am hoping to be able to continue losing weight during this whole process. I have seen some successful stories from women on Spark who managed to keep losing while having children and I want to be one of them! I am almost halfway to my weight loss goal, but I am running out of time to have a baby, so I am hoping to find support and advice here as I begin this crazy journey.
