I'm new to this team. I joined Sparkpeople in 2008 to really get some pounds off. Now I'm an on again off again person. I use it mostly when I get a creep of 5 + pounds.

I'm pretty much an outdoors kind of person. I like to hike, backpack and kayak depending on the season and how much I can get away. I have a bike and I like to ride it but I don't consider myself a "cyclist".

I try to take my kayak out at least twice a month on local rivers. This year I will be spending a week kayaking off Chincoteaque Island. There are some awesome paddle trails in that area.

This year I have a new goal of doing weekend backpacking trips about every six weeks. We'll see how my resolve holds up in the colder months.
