Hey Howdy back and welcome to the team! I got to hike Isle Royale two years ago and fell in love with the island (was always a long time "dream" for me)... Hope to get back there again soon... Did a hiking trip to North Manitou Island in Lk Michigan and then my first solo backpacking trip on Grand Island , Mi, last summer and looking forward to going back there also... Or maybe the Pictured Rocks area... (So many good hiking choices, LOL)

Anyway, glad you found our team... It's a great group! Very supportive, adventurous and "sometimes goofy" LOL...You'll find most of us "hanging out" on the Happy Hour on the Deck thread...

Just keep swimming!

Never give up!

Woah, that trip sounds awesome! I've seen your name in the team scroll and been on your page, but nice to officially meet you! Welcome to the team!

Hello there! I'm LOVING that there's an out-door people team! It's all well and good to be able to do this or that in the gym - but one of my biggest motivations to want to lose weight and get in shape is so I can play more and longer and harder outside. Getting outside and moving is the best way to work out - it just feels like play, I bring my dog as often as I can - and it's astonishing at the end of the day to realize how many calories you can burn playing in the great outdoors.

Honestly - I'm much more of a hiker than a biker - though I do like to bike-commute around town as much as I can - but hiking is my first love. I've hiked all the trails on Isle Royale - a national park archipelago in Lake Superior. I've traveled a bit - and have been able to hike/climb a mountain (non technical) on 4 continents. I've done many solo ultra-light hikes ... the longer the better! My last trip was 5 days on the Superior Hiking Trail - but I led a group that trip and am looking forward to an upcoming solo kayaking and hiking trip in the Apostle Islands this summer.

Anyway - happy to get to know you all!
