find foods that work with your chemistry. i created this meal on my own. i can't seem to loose weight if i eat any grain products. so one day i experimented.

i make this mixture for breakfast , lunch and dinner. i have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks. i cook

4 large portabella mushrooms sliced, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, 4 large onions sliced, 2 large green peppers, 3 cans green beans, 1 can rutabaga and 5 sliced chicken sausages.

it makes enough for at least 4 days, three meals a day. total cost is 12 dollars. sounds crazy but it taste good and most importantly it's working. i'm not hungry . if i feel the urge to cheat i go get a fork full of my mixture. i chew very slowly as to enjoy my meal.

portion sizes are critical to your success. exercise has to become a way of life. good luck

Hi everyone,
Iím a twentyish year old looking to get healthy and live a super active lifestyle. I am starting out at about 220 pounds and ultimately want to get down to about 150. More importantly I want to turn my life into an adventure. I want off of the couch and into the world.

I have always loved the outdoors and I would really like to get involved in outdoorsy things. When I was younger I dreamed of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail in a single summer. I would love to be in the kind of shape that would allow me to do that, or at least a monthís worth. I would also love to go kayaking, sailing, traveling, see the backcountry of the world, and learn to rock climb. I want to run a full marathon and complete an entire triathlon.

I also want to have the confidence to do the things in my daily life that I canít quite allow myself to do. I want to be able to express myself through how I dress, be the center of attention if I have something to say, and go out at night with my friends to a club without the nagging though of how silly I must look because of my weight.

I know that this is going to be a long and permanent journey. I know that I am going to need encouragement, support, and inspiration. I hope that this site and all the people on it can help me on my way and that I will be able to help others on the same adventure.
