well you've come to the right place. you've joined a great team who are here to help you in your health journey.

everyones chemistry is different. people who can eat anything and not gain weight have no concept of what we go through. so try this,


first throw out all the junk food in your house.

then Use the food tracker. input everything that goes into your mouth. stay within your calorie range. watch portion size, keep healthy snacks on hand. apple, celery, etc. exercise. you must burn more calories than you eat.

exercising is key. I hope this helps

Hi Jillyanna and welcome to the Outdoor People team ! You'll find most of us "hanging out" on the "Happy Hour on the Deck" thread :-) This is a fun group with lots of support, outdoor adventures (and sometimes misadventures) .... we also get pretty goofy at times, but hey, life can't be all serious all the time, LOL

Hi everyone! I am almost brand new to SP and am looking for some friends to get motivation from and hopefully help them with their journey's as well! I am a 30 yr old female from NH who loves hiking and backpacking but have been so out of shape in recent years that I haven't been able to go too often anymore. This bums me out so i'm hoping to get myself back in shape, dust off my gear and hit the trails again! I would love to get more involved in SP and am hoping to find like-minded folks to buddy-up with! Enjoy your weekend everyone.... emoticon
