Hello, just wanted to introduce myself to the team. I started SP in late December 2008 and have found it very inspirational. I love the outdoors and while not adept at any one particular activity, my favorite activities are kayaking, hiking, walking, and biking. We live in rural NE Oklahoma. My dh and I have 4 kayaks, 2 Diamondback bikes, and many pairs of walking/hiking shoes. We are close to Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas.

Yesterday, I did a 4 mile hike at the Audubon Center at Joplin. That was a lot of fun and renewed my desire to hike more. We used to belong to the Highpointer's Club (hike all 50 state highpoints). While I'll never attempt some that require rock climbing, ice and snow, I have done many that are easier hikes - up through the Dakotas and east toward NC. Our summer vacations used to involve trying to do all the highpoints on the way to our destination. Sometimes it took us a LONG time to reach our trip destination due to these "little detours. emoticon

Anyway, that is a little about me. Looking forward to getting to know ya'll.
