If you're a gum chewer, try chewing a fresh piece of cinnamon or a very minty gum when your baking. I find that gum can change (and usually take away) from the taste of something, so I'm less tempted. This may work with tic-tacs or mints too if you don't like gum, I think they all have about the same 5 calories per serving and there are many sugar free options.

Thanks for the advice, that's a great idea. I never thought of that!

Welcome, WENDYBOG! You have a job that I would love, but I understand the side effects. My suggestion is to keep a glass of water nearby and keep drinking. When you want to taste, grab the water instead.

Hi, I'm the baker at the College. There are about 1000 students that attend this private college and we bake everything from scratch. We bake everything from breads and rolls to breakfast pastries to fancy desserts. It's a demanding job and I love what I am doing, but I think my biggest problem losing weight is because of this job. I like to try new recipes all the time and if it's something really good I find myself not only tasting it for quality purposes but because it tastes really really good and I can't stop tasting it. I need help controlling this problem, so I thought this spark team would be a good one to join. What can I do to stop over tasting?
