Welcome to the team. My daughter does freezer meals so that she can have home cooked meals without much effort. It really works for her. Just google it. I think there are several bloggers out there with some recipes as well.

I understand having raised 7 children and worked while doing so. FAST food is the enemy!
I found Trader Joe's to be affordable and helpful with packaged nuts and organic trail mixes to carry in my purse for a healthy protein lift. My fav lunch to take to work : 3 cup organic spinich,1/2 cup low salt organic black beans & corn & chopped red onion Dressing: 1/4 advocado,1 Tbsp light sour cream & 1/2 cup salsa....yummy! and reduces upper body fat.l emoticon

Hello my name is Kiosio Fields. I'm 24 years old with two children age 4 to 5 I decided to join sparkpeople because I'm ready to loose weight and live a healthy lifestyle not only for myself but for my children. I'M 5ft2in weighing 259lbs. I want to loose 75lbs if not more. I have always been an over weight person all through my childhood and as I got older my weight was like a yoyo. Two years ago I was diagnosed with graves disease ( hyper thyroid ) I weighed in at 250lbs amd dropped down to 186lbs the lightest I have been since I had my child in 2006. A year ago I got it removed and gained all of my weight back plus more. NOW it has became even harder to get rid of. MY lifestyle is so busy I work full-time 40hrs+ a week and my job consist of working 3 different shifts a week. DAys, swing,and grave yards. And let's not forget taking care of two young children that's in school. MEaning we do everything on the go like eating out, and really no time for activities. BUt now I'm ready to make a change in my appearance I'm tired of always being the chubby one that is shame to go out and shop with her friends because I have to go to the plus store. While they shop at these lil petite stores :( so tomorrow I'm taking my first steps and joining a gym :) hopefully I can find time to go workout.

P.S I'm open to any good advise to get me started and helping me along this journey ;)
