I can't believe it! I didn't know this team existed and have joined 2 other teams that don't seem to be very active. I find this team quite by accident and find that someone I have met is on the team! Small world! I am CXSnSPV on geocaching. Check out my SparkPage to see more about me so I don't have to type it all again. (More time to cache!)

Hi Brenda..

another Californian geocacher here. Welcome to the hobby. I've only been at it for about 1/2 a year, but it's been great. Taken me to places I most likely never would have seen otherwise, and sharpened my senses to be more aware of things right in my neighborhood. It's a great hobby, and definitely gets me off my butt. See you on the trails :)

Hi Brenda,

I live in San Jose. We have been caching with or boys since they were not much older than yours. There are some tricky hides out there, and some that once you see it once you will find it easier the next time. If you live near San Jose, I would be happy to try giving you some hints.

Welcome to geocaching. Hang in there, and i think you'll really enjoy it. I'm also in Califorina, and depending on what part of the state you are in there are a lot of great caches, and a lot of really nice geocachers. Check if you have any events in your area, it's always fun to get to know other cachers.

First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.

Welcome Brenda!

Don't worry about not finding them. As you do a little more caching, you'll find trends of where things are hidden and gain "geosense" about likely hiding places. You'll become addicted like the rest of us! :)

Hi All - My brother (who lives in MI) has been telling me about the fun he and his son have with geocaching for years. My boys are now 5 and 2 1/2 and I think they are ready. We started this weekend and unfortunately could not find the 2 easy caches we looked for, but we will try with 2 new caches this weekend. Looking fwd to the family time outside with a little health and education bent. yeah!
