Hello Cindy and welcome to SparkPeople and this team. Your frankness is refreshing. This site is a great place to start your health and wellness journey. I too have back and knee issues but they became easier to manage once I lose some weight. Keep being open, honest, and direct in speech or writing (especially to yourself) and you'll do great along the road to health and wellness. I wish you the best.

emoticon emoticon Start with 5 minutes every hour and work your way up to an hour to 2-3 hours a day..There are alot of exercises online (Sparkpeople) and gyms that offer trial periods. Just some ideas emoticon

Hi Everyone,
My name is Cindy, 53 yrs old, married, and stay at home wife. I get pretty bored when my better half is out of town working 2-3 weeks at a time. We just moved from Florida to Alabama to be close to the grandkids 2, 8 and 15 all boys.
don't know anyone yet. I am not much of a people person. I have knee and back problems, so I need a program at home. My doctor told me I needed to lose weight and solve my low energy. I am addicted to the computer or busy making a quilt. I sit pretty much 90 percent of the time. So I need to get up off my ass and do something. I really hope that SparkPeople can help me with that.
I hope that I can talk to you guys for help along the way. Everyone have a great day!!!!
