Hello Milly.
One thing to consider, SparkPeople is not a diet, it's a process where we adjust our eating and exercise to meet health and wellness goals. It takes time. so start slowly with little steps and build on the momentum. SparkPeople is adaptive to whatever restrictions you may have. You can do this all you have to do is try and stick to it. I wish you the best.

Hi everyone, I moved to France after moving around a lot and thought I would be able to get myself back on track by eating healthy beautiful food and exercising. But, after three years, I am just not succeeding alone. I used to be really active fit and always slim. I used to look at fat people and think, how did they get like that? Now I am that fat person, and I now think, how did I get like this!?

I have had a few horrible things happen and I am struggling to cope. I have lost all self confidence and have started isolating myself more and more.

I am terrified of dieting and feel even scared of food. I am so scared that if I start dieting I will just get fatter.

I have a medical issue, after the birth of my son, that makes it difficult to stand too long, walk or run. I need an operation but am scared that it will be worse afterwards. I have heard from some people that it was worse after the operation. It has worked for others. I don't mean to be so cryptic about it but it is not something I want to discuss too openly.

I also look after my son alone while my partner works in abroad.

I watched the documentary Fat to Finnish and found this site through the Runs for Cookies blog.
I still have hope.
