Sorry to hear you have this :-(( Maybe getting into smoothies would work for you. I use a Vitamix that reduces everything to a nice smooth texture. I use blueberries, and a mixed fruit all frozen with juice as a base. My mixer can reduce even seeds to a smooth paste. You can add any greens to it and not even know they are there as you can't see or taste them (which is why you use a fruit with a strong color). Can your Dr. refer you to a Dietition? You probably should see a professional who could give you ideas what you can have based on your condition and allergies. Reactive foods to eliminate would be gluten, flour, sugar, dairy, corn, soy, eggs, artificial sweeteners. You need to heal your gut and these foods don't help. It takes three weeks. After that time you can add them back one by one to see if you react to them.

Hello everyone - My goal and my Spark name is GOING TO MAKE IT THIS TIME and have been a member of Spark People for several years now. I am not an active member as I should be but I do plan on trying to change that way of life. Over the past couple of years I have been suffering with diverticulitis. Something I would not wish on anyone!!! If any spark people have experienced this or know of someone who has then you know what I have been going through. I have hbeen hospitalized twice with this and the second go round is kicking my bootie. I have no appetite, but try to eat something to keep the medication down that I am on. What I need from Spark members is a little help on things that I could try to eat that are healthy and help me to maintain a good healthy diet. I have allergies to nuts so please no recipes with them. i also am not able to eat raw carrots and celery. Just trying to #1, get rid of this illness, and #2 remain healthy and fit through it all. Thanks ahead of time for any advice anyone can share.
