Welcome, April! I'm the same kind of homeschooler, but in MN.

SP is a great place to join; they have so many helpful things--including people in small teams for support-- all in one place. Just pick one small step at a time and add another when you're ready. Pick drinking your water, or moving for 10 minutes a day or something for starters, then plug into a team and keeping track of what you're doing on your sparkpages.

Perhaps you'd like to join the Made to Crave Bible study? Details are in another thread above. That starts Sunday. Feel free to ask questions or jump in on any thread. Let's do this!

I am new to Sparkpeople and just trying to figure this out. I am a conservative homeschool mom in Colorado. I do not stick to one curriculum as we have found being flexible helps my two children ages 8 and 10. I enjoy going to church and serving others. I volunteer regularly at food banks. I am worried about my weight that has spiralled out of control in recent years. I need to actively change my lifestyle and would love some encouragement on the best way to do this in little steps.
