Chose apples instead of fries today--and stayed in range!!

Got an hour of exercise in 2 days in a row! Woohoo! Felt so good!

We ended up at McD for breakfast yesterday. Went for the oatmeal and the (now smaller) fruit and yogurt parfait. Lots of fruit! Tasted better than any other choices, too.

Great job Tina (on both the Coke and the To Do list)!

My victory was yesterday. I had run out of fruit which has been my healthy snack of choice lately. I was running errands in the car and was starving, but I really didn't have time to go to the store. As I past the fast food place, I realized that a few months ago, I would have stopped there for a greasy snack and soda for a pick-me-up. Instead, I ran into the store for apples and berries which didn't take me much longer than the drive through. I was excited to realize that I was actually craving fruit instead of fries! Woohoo!

Jenny~I know that feeling recently as well. It felt good and bad to say it. But I only have so much time to use. :) Good for you!

Today, I woke up early, but could have very easily went back to sleep for another hour or more, but I got up and started my day. I've already gotten so much done. :)

I just got home from a six mile bike ride.... Beautiful morning!!!!

Jenny, good for you!!! So important to know when to say no! We need to make these boundaries...
Many years ago, my dh told me .. Honey, just always say you need to ask me first( we were both way to busy with things( good things) but not what Gos wanted... So I continue to use that.. LOLOL Believe me, he is not one to ever say no if I want to do something, but oh did it help others to step up to the plate... :-)

My victory for today was saying no! Someone asked me to take on a project that would take quite a bit of time and would put me in constant contact with a toxic person. I thought and prayed about it and knew I had to say no. I've committed to improving my health this year and this project would only detract from my goals. No guilt!

Thanks for the reminder Lily! Don't worry though. I'm working with two docs and two physical therapists and I'm being very cautious. I didn't do any weight bearing for over 7 weeks and only started weight bearing exercise again when they gave me the okay. I never push myself and I always stop long before I am worn out. My medical team knows what I'm doing for exercise and has told me to do it. I've been walking hills and trails for 14 years and I'm training for a 60 mile walk in Nov. Two slow miles on the flat even track at the park is very do-able for me. Now the physical therapy exercises are another matter. They are the ones that cause me pain! Yowza! Way to go on doing your 2 miles!

I walked 2 miles today on my air walker..... IO just have trouble getting out and walking so air walker it is.....
Plus I did 10 minutes stretching and calisthenics....
