Welcome back, HEALTHIER2008!

It's so good to have you back here. AND it's so good to hear you share what you've been going through. What a blessing that homeschooling is working so well for you and your son. The benefits will be life-long.

It's excellent that you've made the commitment to jump back into things and get this done, for YOU! You can do this and we're here to help! If you are feeling down, let us know. We can help pick you back up! If you've reached a goal, let us know, we'll be proud with you. That's what teamwork is about.

I'm sorry to hear about your DH, however, I'll add him to my daily prayer list. If you don't mind sharing, what is his first name?

Okay, now it is your time to SHINE!

Tambi~

Hello all. :)

I'm a new homeschooling Mom in her first year who is also trying to get control of her weight, stress level, and several other things. :)

I have one 6 year old son (see left) who has motor skill disabilities and is also gifted. He did one year in public school (K) last year and it was, to say the least, a disaster. He absolutely ADORES homeschooling and now that he is settled in his schedule, it's time for Mom to try to put herself back on the list.

I've been a longtime member of SparkPeople, but due to MANY struggles since becoming a member, have never succeeded in reaching my long term goal or maintaining my losses. I recently went to my doctor and found out that this is likely compounded by borderling Major Depressive Disorder which I have recently been put on meds for until we can make some progress in therapy.

Compounding our current soup d' jour of issues, my husband is currently going through the process of being diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury from his service in Iraq. It's a very stressful time for all of us, but I know that if I don't use this moment as a springboard, it will be another opportunity lost.

This is my time to shine as a Mom, a Homeschooler, a Wife, and a Person.
