Hello Everyone
today I start Dr Joel Fuhrman's Eat to Live diet, using his End of Dieting book while awaiting delivery of the ETL book. The 6-week plan is basically vegan, with tons of vegetables, both raw and cooked, pulses/legumes, some fruit, limited whole grains & starchy vegetables, and nuts & seeds rather than oil as a fat source.
There is a Spark ETL team but it seems inactive so I've come here looking for support and recipes. Last year I lost a good amount of weight on the Dukan diet and this year I tried the AIP diet (Paleo-based elimination diet) for an auto-immune issue I have, but got heartily sick of so much meat, and I've gradually regained half the weight I had lost. I have been vegetarian in the past but not vegan. I've been gluten-free for years, not coeliac but intolerant; on a few special occasions when I do indulge I get inflamed joints.

Hi, my name is Linda and I am from Canada, I eat Gluten free, no cows milk or beans, raw tomatoes. I eat mostly at home with healthy, tasty home cooking, most food I try I end up disappointed as my cooking is better

I have pleurisy, 2 types of anemia, macrocytic anemia, Iron deficiency anemia, from blood transfusions with wrong antibodies, causes blood to replace daily instead of 100 days, chronic pneumonia, pleurisy, chronic kidney disease, a partially collapsed lung, low blood pressure & blood clots in both lungs for 3 years. Now formed scar tissue.I am 56 years old. I had cervical cancer 6 years ago, no signs last 4 years as well. I have new blood clots now,2019.I am on P.S.T. time zone.

Hi. Iím Marge and new to eating Whole Foods. I have type 2 diabetes and want to eat healthier and lose weight. No crazy diets for me, just want to learn better, healthier eating habits. I guess you are never too old to start. Looking forward to the challenges and info I can learn from the team as well as being able to contribute to the team as well.
