I agree it's so hard to know if you're slowly eating a little more and a little more if you don't track. I think I'm going to track at least starting out until I get a handle on portion sizes for these new foods (for me!) Thanks again

I've not been doing well lately, but am finally getting out of my funk and back on track. In 2005-2006 I lost over 150 lbs.... and did great when I was tracking my every bite. It's so easy to not realize how many calories have been consumed without tracking. As I slowly stopped tracking, I began regaining.... and created an embarrassing snowball in the wrong direction.

That said. Each person has to do what works for them. We're all wired a little differently and what motivates me and keeps me on track might be different that someone else.

Thanks Dee! I was wondering if you track your calories on this type of eating? All the books i've read say it's not necessary, but I am definitely an emotional eater and also a "plate cleaner!" That plus being post-menopausal..... thanks! Natalie

Hi, I'm very new to this type of eating, and am very glad to have found this team! I'm 54 and trying to lose about 30 pounds. And I've tried everything!!
