Hi, I just rejoined SP after a 2-year absence. I've been stuck in 150-ville for a while. Occasionally, I catch a rare glimpse of 140-ville, but my body/eating habits seem to like 150-ville. I weighed in today at 157 pounds. I've had a bad couple of days filled with wrong food choices, but I foresee getting back to 152 pounds being relatively easy(it's in the 5 pound zone, I tend to stay in). The true fight begins when I try to get past 151.5 pounds.

Realistically, if I follow the same pattern, I will be here for a while, starting with maybe six months, so by August 1st, I might be on my way

Hay all, Ive been on SP on and off for about 6 years. My highest weight was last year when I was approaching 190lbs.

I decided I was not going to start the New Year at that weight and signed up for a macrobiotic diet where all meals were prepared for me. I lost 10lbs in 14 days. I also noticed that my IBS symptioms were drastically reduced.

When i began eating "regularly" but healthly (in my estimation) low fat yogurt, brow rice, pop corn with no butter .... my IBS flared up again.

So i finally took my butt to a deititian who put me on an ellimination diet, did blood work, skin tests etc and concluded that I was lactose and gluten sensitive.

NOW since I CANT have cake, ice cream, pasta, pizza (basically all the things that made me put on weight) Ive been losing weight but the 150s have been rough. So Im back to tracking calories and such.

been sitting at 150 -153 for about a month no matter what I do so I guess Im at some sort of plateau

Happy to meet you all, but I dont plan to be here for long LOL

The best way to predict your future is to create it

Hi, my name is Mary. I am 54 years young. The 150's are my challenge. When I started Spark I was 172 and was able to loss weight and get into the 150's pretty easily. But I am stuck in 150-ville. My weight goes up and down and for a time I was able to get to 148 but could not maintain it. With the new year coming I really want to get out of 150-ville!!!

Hi! I have spent the past 4 years in 160-ville and finally saw 159.0 this morning!! Very excited!! I had joined Weight Watchers in 2002 and lost 65lbs, but didn't like the fact I was eating a lot of sugar free jello...and when I hurt my back in 2007 I put 20lbs back on. When I hit 170-ville after losing my job as an RN due to my back pain I realized I had to make a change and joined SP for the first time...I loved everything about it and lost 10lbs in about 3 months. I've been stalled since then, but now that we're back to the holiday season I decided I'd better get back to tracking my food so that I don't put that 10lbs back on...and as an awesome surprise I've lost 4lbs already! My goal is 150.0 but I would love to make it out of the 150's if I could!

Once upon a time, we believed the world was flat - that beyond a certain point, there would be nowhere to go. And though we now know the world is round, we still fear falling off imaginary edges, too often thinking there's only so far we can stretch, so hard we can push. The most dangerous limits are those in our own head. When you feel you're at your edge, look again. You CAN go farther.

Been in 150-ville almost all year after having gained about 20 pounds at the beginning of the year. I even took a step into 160-ville and that was scary! Haven't been there since I was pregnant! Anyway I've had a really hard time losing weight, I even talked to my doctor about it and she did some tests on my thyroid and such and when everything turned out fine she chalked it up to stress! I'm finally down to 154.2 (so the scale said today) and I'm ok with watching the scale go down slowly as long as it goes down!! I will be THRILLED the day I drop into the 140's. It's been really tough but I'm persisting!

emoticon Stepped on the scale this morning and loved the number I saw (158.8). I'm officially a member of 150-ville now. Christmas events start this week, but I'm making plans and am hoping not to let my weight go back up over the holidays (Christmas and New Year's).

I want to reach goal (140) by Valentine's Day 2012 and based on what I've been able to accomplish since August, I shouldn't have a problem reaching this goal.

Good luck reaching your own goals, everyone!

Hi I'm new and I weight 152.4 as of this morning. I actually got as low as 148 but gained weight over Thanksgiving. I am hoping not to be with this team long and am hoping not to come back. I know that everyone here must have that goal and I wish you all the best of luck.

Hi, team. I've been on SP for about 11 months and have lost 90 pounds. I joined this team to give myself that little push I need to leave the 150's and move to 140-ville.

Never give up!

Hi, I'm Cheri. I have been in a plateau for a while. I have been anywhere from 155 to 151 for about a month now. I am so hoping to not be with this team long. Right now I am concentrating on 150 and then I will work on Leaving 140ville.

I am also new to town but not staying long - I have just under two pounds to go before I'm on to 140-ville. I'm hoping to be out of here by the end of the month, but I thought I'd stop by and introduce myself just in case life has other plans for me :)

Morning everyone. I've been living in the 160's essentially for many years. But in the past month have been hovering in the 150's. Today I weighed in at 159.4. I have a birthday in 6 weeks and would love to be entering 140-ville by that time. This team seems like the perfect one for me at this time.

Hola! Just entered town last week. emoticon SOOOOOO much has changed in the past 13 years, since the last time I was here. Marriage, house, 2 kids...oy!

Honestly, I could live with being here the rest of my life as long as I maintained my fitness level, but my ultimate dream goal is to hit 144, so we'll see what happens. Geez, when I started Spark, never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd see the 50s again. I was simply hoping to get below the "obese" level (and my pre-infertility weight) of 174.

Welcome Fbeezy!

I just joined this team, and although I haven't been posting very often, I have been working hard to lose a stubborn 10 pounds, which would get me out of 150ville for good!

Sounds like you have great momentum going -- your trip to Vegas is a great motivation!

Keep Sparking and good Luck!

I couldn't be happier to have arrived in 150-ville fiiiiinally! I hope my stay here won't be too long either :) I plan to keep up the momentum of the last 70 lbs lost to get through the next 20 lbs. My 'ok' weight has always been 140, but I would love to get down to 127lbs. I'm hoping to get as close to this goal as possible, before my planned girls trip to Vegas end of September! This team is great motivation to help me get there! Good luck everyone!! I hope to see you all in 140-ville soon! We can do it! emoticon emoticon

Hi Nancy

Our goals are very similar, and our weights, too!
I weighed in this morning at 153.6 (daily weigh-er - so I won't change my ticker up)

Check the shed 5 thread (lose 5 pounds by mid-August)...and adjust it to join us. We had a month to do this.
emoticon

My goal is to be 150 or less by mid-August. (I started at around 155.4)

PS To my old SP friends - It's been a very rough journey... My beloved, healthy, athletic, tall, dark and handsome husband died in August 2012 from a very aggressive cancer... In the many months caring for him I was stressed and didn't "care" anymore, and put back on 30 pounds I had just finished losing... And then I gained even more...

Hello Everyone!

I LOVE the idea of this team. It's so perfect for me I can't believe it! I am determined to get leave 150 ville in my rear view mirror and NEVER look back!

My current weight is close to that "magical" 149 pounds but I have been here before and always lose momentum or get discouraged and end up around 158. My goal is 146, but really I would love to weigh 140.

This time I am determined.......

Well, I made it to the 150's 2 weeks ago :) Current weight is 158 and my goal is to be out and into 140-ville in the next 4 weeks! By the time my daughter returns to school I'd love to be walking her to the bus stop 15 pounds light than her last day of school the past year :)) I'm glad to be part of the group but hope to be leaving fast!!

You did very well to lose that weight! And it seems like you didn't gain any back, right? Or at least most of it?
emoticon

You might enjoy the eat-stop-eat approach...check out my team for resources. It is backed by strong science.

My first goal is 145 and I am in my 50's. I am working out enough to be getting toned somewhat. YAY. I use "the firm" - I used to use the videos and such - but now I just do the exercises.

Hi all!

I have been in the 150's for about a year now! This is great progress for me, considering in 2008, I was around 190 pounds or more....I stopped weighing myself because I couldn't take it anymore.

I just recently went to Mexico and although, 150 has been great progress, I want more!

I am just looking to get out of 150's, firm up into the 140's, tone up in the 130's to reach my goal in the 120's.

If anyone is seeking around the same weight goal, I would love an e-mail buddy for motivation. I hope everyone is accomplishing their goals and see you on the boards!

Hi -- How fun to find a team like this! I certainly do need to leave the 150's. I hope I can keep up with you all as we make our way down. I need to get to 140-ville before the motorcycle trip my husband and I have planned this summer.

A short, but very sweet, video tribute to this beautiful man:

Hi Everyone,
Just made it out of 160ville. Thrilled to be in 150ville. It has been years since I've been this weight. Would love to be in 140ville by the end of July. I am a slow loser.

Hi Team!

Struggled for a year to get out to 160-ville and while I'm just at the very beginning of arriving at 140-ville, I'm glad to be on my way!!!

Welcome Liss! You can move to 140-ville. Just keep working and you'll get there, even if it takes longer than you wish.

Hey all! I've been here once or twice before for very short stays before moving back to 160-ville. Hopefully I'm here to stay this time - until I move to 140-ville, anyway!

Obviously I'm still at the high end, but I would really, really love to be in 140-ville sometime before July, though I realize that that's pretty ambitious.

Hope everyone is well.

Thank you Melissa. I may look into the Angels Among Us. I am hoping to find a small, active team. I was very successful with sparkpeople when I had a similar team, but when the team started going different ways, I found excuses to slack off. I ended up stopping using spark and gained a lot of my weight back. I consider it a lesson learned: don't depend on other people for your own healthy habits, but I personally find it motivating to keep in contact with people with similar goals. I couldn't find a team that was exactly addressing what I want to do, so I made my own team. Don't know if anyone will join, but at least I have a place to track my goals.

PINKY, you can look up teams by how much weight you have to lose or by your interests. I really like the Angels Among Us team as well as the 50+ teams. I don't know how old you are (think about setting up a sparkpage which you can do under the Community tab at the top of the page) but you can find teams with your age group. where you live, when you joined, etc. What I do is I click on a team I'm interested in and check out the forums before I join to see how much people are posting. If the dates are from months ago, I won't join. Good luck!

Hi! Just joined 150-ville this morning. I am hoping joining this team will help me get restarted on my goal. Does anyone know of a more active team that would be good to join? It seems like this isn't where people are tracking their goals.

I didn't know about the ville teams until recently. I would have also started in 180-ville. I'm really looking forward to 140-ville then 130-ville and ending in 120-ville if possible. Hopefully we'll be in 140-ville by the end of May or soon thereafter. I'm working really hard to get there.

Melissa - That's probably it, people view them as temporary stops, so don't put much effort into getting to know each other. 160-ville felt like a ghost town! I have been moving through the towns pretty quickly, and started in 180-ville. I stayed a member of 170-ville, because the members there are very active and supportive. At least you are here with me! :) Maybe we can move on to 140-ville together! (I love the sound of 140-ville!)

Welcome Kat. I'm finding that these teams aren't that active since everyone is trying to leave them! I'm also hoping to be out of here this month. Feel free to talk to me anytime. I don't think 150-ville will be more lively than 160-ville unfortunately. I try not to be on teams that aren't active but since this is temporary, I'll stick it out. That's probably why it's not active LOL!
