Hey! I'm an old sparker from way back....I used spark people to lose 35lbs before I got pregnant with my son, he was born in 2009, I lost all the weight thanks to what I learned from this site. Now 6 years and two more kids later I have 17 pounds to lose, plus a 6yr old, 4 yr old and 6 month old....I'm at 151 so hoping to only be here a week or so, but this town saved my life when I was very overweight so I just had to join even for a short while!

I started SP many years ago at 202 and lost 40 lbs. Then I got stuck in 160-ville for a couple of years. I made it to 157 Nov 2013 but couldn't keep it. I have decided to push through to 150-ville this winter.

I was actually at 150 about 5 weeks ago, but the holidays and the business and unfortunate stress they bring have blown me off course. I haven't weighed, but I know I've gained a few pounds back. Hi everyone, just passing through (hopefully) wanted to introduce myself. I am new to SparkPeople and am still learning all of the in's and out's. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools 2 of 3 children (the youngest is only 2), so I am pretty busy BUT, I have gained more weight than I realized (because I was afraid to get on the scale) so here I am! Hi, all. I'm Heather from Nashville, just passing through on my way to goal. I've set my goal weight at 145 lbs (a 44 lb loss), but it's sort of an arbitrary number. I'll feel "finished" when I'm back in a size 4 jean.

My husband and I are taking a 10 year anniversary trip to Cancun next month, so I'm all in for getting rid of as much of that last 14 lbs as possible before then!

I can't really tell whether or not I am coming or going into this town of 150-ville. For about a week I've barely crossed the border, am holding on tightly to 159 lbs which seems to be the minimum requirement for citizenship here. Of course, I'm going to 'rent' rather than buy because I want to be a visitor, not a long-time resident - headed for 140-ville as my long-term goal (until I get up the courage to set a new 'long-term' in 130-ville.) But I don't want to get ahead of myself here - am happy to be your new neighbor!!

Hi there. I haven't been in this town in over ten years. Very excited to be back but hoping for a brief 1-2 month stay as my final goal is in 140-ville or maybe even 130-ville. I only weigh once a month (on the first day of the month), so it'll be interesting to see where I am on May 1st. In the meantime, have a healthy month!

Hi everyone! I'm new to town, just got here at 158.2 today, since I wanted to make sure after a few days that I was legitimately here. I'm hoping to make this a pit stop, as I have not gone below 158 in about 5 or so years. Depressing, but also motivating! I am hoping to get through town and into 140ville by late March! I have a ton of birthdays to attend in March and it would be nice to surprise them with being lower weight than I have been in the past 5 years. And hoping to buy a new outfit for the events!

New to town as of today! (Well, yesterday if we're getting technical, but I waited to make sure the 159 wasn't a fluke.) I'm SO happy to be arriving here this week. This is my third go-round with SparkPeople this year (long story), but when I jumped back on the wagon in October, my short-term goal was to be in the 150s by Thanksgiving..and here I am with a day to spare!

While I'd LOVE to be out of here by Christmas, I know that I have work holiday parties, tons of snacks/Christmas presents from my students, and gingerbread cookie baking in my future, so I'm thinking that I'd like to be leaving town just at or shortly after the New Year.

However long I'm here, I'm looking forward to getting to know this community!

I fear I may be back out of town on my next weigh in after my mega- indulging weekend (celebrated my son's 16th birthday with extended family this weekend and I haven't stopped eating!) Hey!!! I'm so happy to be here! 159 this morning after two days of under 160 (but not yet 150-ville move-in ready) numbers. I'm here sooner than I expected, to be honest. My goal was Thanksgiving, but all the wonderful support I got up the highway in 160-ville led me to shed the pounds faster, so I'm hoping 150-ville is a pretty lively town.

My goal is to get to and maintain 155 over the holidays, and then continue my losing work and be under 150 by the beginning of March!

Also, I'm so glad to see a friendly face here, TEACHFIRST268. Let's be great temporary citizens of this fine town together!

I haven't seen these numbers in about 20 years! I've struggled with my weight my entire life, as life certainly has its ups and downs, but I'll never give up trying. You can't fail if you don't stop trying, right?

I've lost 61 lbs since a year ago last summer and look forward to continuing the journey. It's slowing down, but I'm okay with that (most of the time). As long as I'm getting healthy and the weight keeps moving on a downward trend, then all is well. I don't know how long I'll be in town. I honestly am still a bit shocked that I'm actually here! I'll just keep working on my consistency and healthy habits and hope to keep the forward momentum going.

I've noticed that too. It will take someone to start getting active. I was so excited about reaching the 150's but when I got here it said inactive team leader and so I'm happy to help while I'm here. Let me know if you have any ideas. There are some faithful few to the team.

Well I have come back to SP after getting down to 149 from 187 and I added back 10 so I need to get back on track. I have done a refocus on new goals etc.

What I find surprisig though it seems like SP is a ghost town. Many of my forums I was part of do not have alot of postings and I do not see new ones that many have replaced them.

Anywone has the same observation?

So I am returning to Sparks People for help. I have lost over 35lb's since being on a low fat diet due to gallbladder attacks, and now that I have had it taken out, and moved away for college, I am finding it hard to stick to that diet, and to continue to lose the weight.
I am pretty scared that I am going to be gaining that weight back. I went from 195lb - 155lb. But I still have that lower belly fat.
If anyone could help me with how to lose all this, and not start gaining any of it back, that would be great ! :)

- I dont eat out much
-I drink a lot of water/vitamin water , Milk , and a rare glass of apple juice
-My meals are small (dont have a whole lot of money for food, first year in college..) But I do snack on granola bars, and fruit and veggies when I can.
- I dont do a whole lot of working out, So any help with some home workouts, that do require any equipment

Hello~ I just returned to sparkpeople, and realized that last time I was active I was still paying rent in 170-ville. I've been in 150-ville for a few months now. I did pay a visit to 140-ville for a two-week vacation, and I'm hoping to take up a more permanent residence there.

While the suites are much nicer here in this ville than they were in 220 ville where I lived six years ago, it's time for me to move on.

Gained 15 of it back now I have 5lbs to be back where I was before I gained and 33lbs until I reach my goal :) I have been stuck in the 150's for over a year (besides my small relapse into the 160's) and I want OUT! I am back here again.(almost) I was here in 2009, but managed to get to 140 ville that year and maintain it through 2010-11. Last fall I had an eye inflammation that caused a lot of pain that required a lot of prednisone, which unfortuanately caused me to gain 10 pounds very quickly and then five more from medication food cravings!

But I am off the prednisone and able to manage the appetite again, but need Sparkpeople to help me through this, so I am again tracking food. I hope it helps with portion size and late night eating binges, along with yoga and walking. Wish me luck! emoticon

emoticon I'm so totally stoked to finally be here. I was in 160ville for over a year. I weighed in at 159 this morning and I could not be happier about that!!! Finally! HI EVERYONE!!!!!

Incredible as it seems ~ my life is based on a true story.

Hi, I'm Gabby. I have made it to 150-ville but don't want to stay here for too long. I have not been under 150 in about 7 years. I'm ready this time to keep pushing through, working hard, eating right, and staying positive through my journey!

Hi Sparkers,
I've been anticipating to join this team, but it doesn't stop here. Hopefully I can leave 150-ville in a few weeks. Right now I have Billy Blanks (tae bo) and Jillian Michaels (30 day shred) as my personal trainers. I will continue to eat 80% healthy meals, drink my water, stay within my daily caloric range and workout! Good luck to the rest of you!

Hi Everyone -

I am new here but not to SparkPeople. I have been hanging around 150-ville for three months now, going between 157 and 155 over and over again and although it was great to reach 150-ville since starting at 184, I really, really would like to move on. I know what I need to do and I know what really works I just need to get back on track and travel to 140-ville soon.
