This is a great place to come for motivation, There are so many people here who will help you if you run into a snag. Even if you need support. It is not hard to find friends here. Hopefully you will enjoy it here as mych as I do.

Let me know if you need anything.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.

I am new to this community, but from everything I have seen so far I am really encouraged and motivated. This whole site is incredibly unique and has so much to offer anyone willing to reach out. Well consider this me reaching out.
I have slowly but steadily gained weight since the mid 90's. I have never been what you would be considered skinny, but I was in shape and fit....until my accident. Long story short, I was thrown from a horse, broke my back and pelvis, concusion, etc (June 1996). With my back injuries (and lack of mobility) the weight began to pile on. I had a spinal fusion in July 2002, my weight then was 230lbs. My surgeon wasn't thrilled with my wieght and wanted to see my drop 50lbs after surgery. Well my weight hovered and I didn't gain during my recovery. In the five years since then I had gained about 20lbs or so. I wasn't happy, but with limited mobility and armed with lots excuses I lived with it. The biggest motivator came when I quit smoking in January 2007, lay on the pounds....LOL. I now find myself another 50lbs heavier. So for those who are keeping track...I am now almost tipping 300lbs...twice what I was beore my injuries.
I am fed up with myself, so no more excuses. Here I am ready to start anew. I know maintaining motivation is difficult but I hope this time I can do it. This is for me and for my better half.
