hi all,

I am 59, 265 lbs, and just started my couch to 5K training yesterday and I thought I was gonna die LOL but I made it... I will be doing this 3 days a week for twenty minutes.

I can do 20 minutes of my life spend on exercise... :)

Zefiro, You can do it. I always thought the same thing, too old, too fat, too scared....just get out there, even if you only run 1 minute, it will show you that it's possible. I'm 63 and getting back into running and just finished week 1 and even though I used to run 3 miles, it was difficult but I'm going to do it and you can too! If I can help in any way, please add me as a friend/motivator.

Zefiro, many of us (including myself) are as heavy or heavier than you-don't let that hold you back! Do what you can when you can, as long as you keep moving forward you're doing great!

Plans fail for a lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

Proverbs 15:22

It's alright to fall but the worst is to stay down.

If it is to be, it is up to me!

Hi, I'm 61 and very overweight. Just got C25K and I'm afraid to start ... I think maybe I'm too old/fat to do this ...
But a part of me really wants to do it

Hi everyone!
Have done couch to 5K numerous times, but since I gained 30 lbs. gave up running. Made a promise to myself that if I could get down to 160 I would start again, I'm 63 so it gets a little more difficult each time but I'll get there. Today got on the scale and it was time so started day 1 today. I've been walking 5 miles so incorporated my first run into that. Anyone else out there in their 60's and new to running, I'd love to hear from you. Rita
