So I am a 48 year old grandmother of 6. I would like to trim down and be more healthy. My wonderful husband of 20 years would never change me....but I know I would certainly like LESS of me!!

Anyway, I work with 5 people and our office is sponsoring a 5K. (I could be a mother to ALL of THEM!!) Anyway, two members of the staff have done more than one 5K. The other three members are in WAY better shape than I am. The 5K is in mid-August. Am I just setting myself up for failure?

I have also been on SparkPeople several times....and never seen the program through. Because I intend on doing both the fitness AND the meal stuff...I am determined to see progress!

Now for what I would like help with......Can I download SparkPeople onto my Andriod phone? Since I have my phone with me ALL the time, can I use a compatible program that will help me train for the 5K and will update with SparkPeople?

Sure could use some advice!

I used to run off and on through college, but I have been running increasingly more sporadically through this past year. I finally decided the best thing for me to do in order to get back into running regularly and effectively progressing would be to start Couch to 5k! I did Week 1, Day 1 last night and I am super excited about training.
