Congratulations to you as well OSDOWNS! Are you further along in Couch to 5k?

My first week I did 30 seconds of running with 60 seconds of rest. The first week of Couch to 5k is 60 seconds vs 90 seconds. I am almost positive I will be at 60 seconds by next week though!!

That's awesome! The first 5K always sticks with you.
My advice for C25K is to not be afraid of repeating weeks if you really need to. It took me over 6 months to get through the '9-week' program!

Ever since I quit smoking I have wanted to run a 5k. Okay actually I wanted to run a 5k WAY before that but since I quit smoking I have actually thought it was possible. So I did it, I signed up for a 5k in August. I am petrified and excited.

I am starting day 1 of Couch to 5k today. Any advice? Tips? Words of encouragement?

I have always ran outside when I dabbled in it before but it is raining so off to the gym I go for my first ever treadmill run. I am always afraid I will fly off the back. emoticon
