emoticon Hi, I joined Spark People a few months ago and to start with didn't really get into it. I started afresh on 1st February and in my first week lost 5lbs. I weigh in again tomorrow and am quietly hopeful as my focus has been much better this time round - I want to look and feel good and I AM going to do this. What I haven't done so well on is the exercise. As a child I had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and my doctors wouldn't allow me to exercise at all - how things have changed, these days doctors would be advocating exercise - but as a consequence I have little or no aerobic exercise capacity and really just don't know how to get going. So what do you do when you can't run? You sign up for a 5K run of course and that's what I've done. It's in June and so you can imagine how pleased and relieved I was to find C25K. I need all the help I can get because I don't really know where to start but hey, I'm here, I'm listening and I'm putting my trainers on.........

Success is not a race, be patient.
