Oh, you sound so much like me! I want to do the Color Run, that's one of my big motivators too, and there's a Foam Run on my son's birthday, and all kinds of other fun 5ks that I want to do.

I surprised myself. Once I got out there and started running... well, ok, I'm not gonna lie, it kinda hurt. But I know my body and the different "flavors" of pain, so I kept going because I knew it wasn't the kind of pain that meant there was damage. And then I got home, and got a drink, and sat down, and WHOO! Suddenly, ENDORPHIN CITY! So yeah... before this, you couldn't have gotten me running with a cattle prod, and now I get "itchy" to run if it's more than a couple days between.

Just be careful running at night, wear light colors and reflective stuff, and you should be ok. :) I look forward to hearing your success stories!

Welcome to the team!
Don't worry, I was the kind of person who would rather do ANYTHING rather than run. But I started the C25K programme and I have never looked back. Once you get going it's amazing!

Hi everyone, I'm really nervous, i've never (and i mean NEVER) been a runner... my throat gets all painful and such, so i've wussed out of it.

Well, now I want to do all these different 5ks in the area that i see advertised (color run, zombie run, mud run, etc) and i WANT TO HAVE FUN. i want to show my kids to be active! so i'm jumping in...

the only bad part is it'll prolly be late night stuff, since my hubs works mid shift :( gets home usually about 11pm, and running with 3 kids and no stroller is a joke (6mo, 2yr, 6yr) LOL i would rather sleep than run, but i also want to train to have fun! so i'll do it! :D
