Hi! I just got a great piece of information from another Sparker about a podcast that will help you get this Couch to 5K done a little bit easier. I am so looking forward to starting in a few days. I was worried about the intervals because it is clunky to check a watch for time and then reset while trying to run. So there is this podcast called Podrunner at podrunner.com. I picked the Interval mixes, which take you from 1 to 10 weeks with motivating music and sound cues telling you when to slow down and when to speed up and when it's time to stop. It is all free. I love it. Just downloaded the whole 5K program today and am excited to begin my journey.

Yay! for every day!

Well, since Fri 12/27 I have run/walked 10 miles. My average speed per mile is about 18:30 to 19:30 min per mile it just depends on the day. I was running less than a half mile in a 30 min C25K workout and I couldn't understand why because I was lasting longer each time a 60 sec jog portion came up. But on Monday I realized that I was jogging wrong. My walking stride was longer than my jogging stride. So I modified it today and I jogged farther than the previous 2 days. Thanks for your interest.

Hi my name is Rebekah and I just got interested in running a few days ago. I started the C25K program yesterday. I had gastric bypass surgery in August 2013 and have lost 86lbs so far but I am wayyyyy out of shape. I hoping that running will help me get fit. I plan to run my first 5K in April. I look forward to meeting people in this team.
