Thanks, Amy!!! Kids are great reminders to get healthy! i was not a fun mommy at 257 pounds. Now at 214 I'm much more fun, and i keep getting better every day!!

What an inspiring message to get across! I have two young boys myself (4 and 6) that I want to get healthy for, and I think we all forget/take for granted how lucky we are to have the functioning bodies that we do. Now I just need to get that back into shape!

Hi! I'm Meghan. I'm a 33 year old SAHM to 3 kids: 3 1/2 year old twin boys and a 13 month old daughter. I have been carrying a lot of extra weight since having my twins and I am finally within 2 pounds of losing all the weight I gained from my second pregnancy. We recently attended the Special Olympics summer games in Ohio and I was so inspired by the athletes that I decided I was being wasteful and ungrateful for my health and my abilities by being overweight and inactive. I decided to start getting in shape to set a good example for my kids. My twins both have Down syndrome and I really want them to lead healthy lives and eventually compete in sports. What better way to get them interested than by doing it first and then with them! So, long story short- here I am! I have completed the first 2 workouts of C25K and I love the feeling of pushing myself and being sweaty! I am signed up for my first ever 5K in August and though I likely won't be able to run the whole thing it is a starting point and something to shoot for! Looking for running buddies and new friends!
