I counted shoveling too. Maybe if it were the light, fluffy stuff I wouldn't have, but this stuff was heavy!

I spent so much time shoveling snow on Saturday and Sunday (and I tracked it, too, you betcha) that I declared Monday a recovery day. I needed one!

I am convinced slipping and sliding to and from my car in ice slicked parking lots, should count towards fitness minutes. ;)

Sure does. I've got warm layers and a neoprene half-mask for my face so I won't get the cold triggering my asthma, but there's not a lot you can do when the sidewalks are covered in ice.

Well, a week of working on it. I've been repeating days. I'll be finishing the official Week 1 on Friday.

I'm using the ZenLabs C25K app on my iPhone, and I love having the voice and beep signals telling me when to switch paces.

My original goal was to do all my running outside, but... I'm in New England. My timing was excellent -- I joined the nearby gym a week before the giant snowstorm!

I'm a writer, and I'm trying to make sure to stay active instead of letting myself become purely sedentary. Another writer friend of mine is currently training for a half-marathon! I don't see myself doing that -- the idea of running in any sort of race holds no appeal for me -- but she's an inspiration to me.

Looking forward to being part of the team!
