Welcome. I made it through Week 8 but have been on hiatus for the past two weeks due to an ankle injury. I was surprised I made it that far. The only thing that has stopped me is my body not being ready aka injuries other than that I was making it fine. With that being can do this, just make sure ...if your able to go at your own pace, repeat days...weeks if you have to and stretch, stretch stretch! Prepare the body! Good luck! emoticon

Welcome and emoticon on getting under 300!
You don't need to feel bad if you take your time with C25K, I've been doing it nearly 4 months and I'm only just moving onto week 7. We'll get there eventually : )

Welcome! I just started this program with my friend and we have been doing week 1 for 3 weeks. She had back surgery and her leg has some nerve damage so she can't really feel herself running. So we are taking it slow too, she doesn't usually run the whole 60 seconds either so that's why we are staying on that level until she's ready. I personally just jog slow beside her and I've noticed my stamina has built from that. Don't rush yourself ..its OK to stay on week one for a while until your body is ready to move up :)

Hi Guys, I am new to this site. I have a long journey ahead, but ready to get it movin. I am down 25lbs over the past year and ready to get it moving faster and more consistant. My goal is to try and loose 50lbs over the next year (Nov-Oct). I have the C25K app on my phone and have tried it twice (both lasted 1 week). I enjoyed it and know that its a long road ahead. I am now 298 (wahoo under 300 as of last week), and I know I am not the best candidate to start a c25k, but hey why not. When I did it the first week, I was running about 15-20s everytime I was supposed to do the 60s interval, but I was doing it. This last time I tried again I was ranging from 30s-60s. Its small baby steps, but I need the motivation and I need to get movin. I figure even if I am not doing the full 60s in the beginning 1)I am still walking and 2)one day I will be able to do it, and move forward.
