Absolutely that is reason enough. I love your motivation and reason for getting fit. This journey is for us and no one else. It's about what makes us happy at the end of the day. I'm so excited to hear about your progress as you get into running. We're here if you need anything!!

Happy running!

Hi Everyone! I'm new to Sparks People and this Group...well, sort of. The thing is that I've actually joined, deleted and joined Sparks People again, at least 5 times already. I come, I read, I give up before I even start, because the TRUTH is my reasons for being here were never as strong as they needed to be, to see this Journey through, to the end. This time, it's different. This time I decided to actually FINISH something I start. I'll be 42 this December, so NO, I'm not doing this because I'm going to be "40". Yes, I have 5 children, but the youngest is already 5, so NO, this is not about losing "baby weight'. And, yes, I finally learned to love and accept myself with the extra 50lbs I've been lugging around for the past 5 years, so NO, I don't think I will somehow be happier or more lovable if I look like a Super Model. This time, I'm willing and ready to do the "work" because even at 42 my dream of becoming a Runner is as strong as ever. Yes, I've started and stopped Running dozens of times before, but something inside of me refuses to give up Trying. Even if I am 42, Even if I am 193lbs. I still have it in me to be the best I can be, and the Truth is that I was happier TRYING, in spite of my failures, then I ever was sitting on the couch. So, I'm BACK, and this time I come to FINISH what I start, Not because I NEED to (though GOD knows I do), but because, DARN IT, I WANT TO. Isn't that reason enough? emoticon
