Thanks for the encouragement. Its taken me a while for him to even know how much I weighed when I started the weight loss. I finally broke down, covered my face and spoke the number into his and the universe's ears! Ha Ha! Guess what? I'm still breathing and the world didn't end. I'm looking forward to encouraging everyone else here the way I've been encouraged so far. Have a great day!!

That's so great! emoticon on your progress! I'm hoping to get to the stage where I wouldn't be hideously embarrassed to go jogging with my other half. One day...

That is great! I also started in April with Couch to 5k, and I've finished too, but the only one left running with me is my dog. I'm still plugging away 30 minutes at a time trying to get to 3 miles (I'm at 2.56). Any tips you have about getting faster will be much appreciated.

Hi-
I'm 43 and just recently lost 34 pounds using the C25K running program. I started this journey in mid-April by going to a weight loss clinic and getting B12 shots and cutting calories. I lost 15 pounds in the first month and that was enough motivation to stick with it and to start some kind of exercise program. My husband was diagnosed with Ocular Myesthenia Gravis and was on prednisone to alleviate his symptoms. Needless to say, he packed on about 25 pounds. We were both sick of looking at our unhealthy selves. My weight loss sparked something in both of us and here we are. He is 35 pounds lighter and I am 34 pounds lighter and we have both finished week 9 of C25K. We will run our first 5K Saturday, September 1st. I am still not happy with my times so I have gone back to week 5 and am re-running them and then will start on the bridge to 10K. We live in Atlanta and wish to qualify for the Peachtree on July 4th, 2013.
