I did day one of week 3 today and I was comfortable (that might be a stretch) with the 90 second jog, so I was a little concerned about 3 minnutes all at once. It wasn't too bad though. I have music that help push me, I wasn't quite up to singing along by the 2nd 3 minute jog, but it didn't kill me either. There is hope. ;) Good luck!

I am new too, but we can do this! I don't even think that far ahead. All I see is that tomorrow, I'm running 60 seconds and walking another 90. That isn't so daunting!

"Self-discipline" is redundant, for all discipline comes from the self.

You are both doing awesome! If you have trouble when you get to the longer runs just slow down and if necessary repeat days or weeks. So many of us have. But you're going to rock this! I know you both can do it.

You can do it, both of you! Don't worry about future weeks yet--you'll get there, I promise! Just take it one run at a time, and you'll do awesome.

I'm exactly the same! My tactic is to pretend the following weeks just don't exist - if I think about jogging for 20 minutes right now I'll probably quit the whole thing.

I was terrified to begin the C25K program. I was afraid of not being able to finish the days run, I was afraid someone would see my butt jiggling with every step, I was afraid I would not be able to make the time commitment. One day I just decided to do it...what am I afraid of? To borrow from a quote a read somewhere, no matter how slow I run, I am still lapping those on the couch!
So far, so good! I CAN do this! The thought of 8 minute and 20 minute runs is daunting, but just last week the thought of 1.5 minute runs was daunting. I discovered I could do it! One day at a time!
