I restarted the program yesterday. After some knee issues and the miserably hot summer, I was really excited to get back. The first few 30-second run intervals, I really wanted to keep going, but stopped myself. I was so glad I did - the last few were killer! I'm looking forward to day 2!

I started it on Sunday night and I will be doing W1D2 tonight! And yes, my dalmatian is my little running buddy :)

Yes! I have started and finished the program. I started with a bunch of friends, but my dog is the only one who's left still running with me! She is the best running partner, for sure.

Welcome to the team and to running! I had a rough summer physically and didn't get hardly any running in, so I'm starting over basically. I did my first run in a while this morning. I've used the c25k in the past and think it's an awesome program. Right now I'm doing more of a Jeff Galloway thing, with setting my own running intervals. This morning I did 30 sec running/30 sec walking for 15 minutes. I will build up the repeats slowly and then I will go to 1 min of each most likely. Eventually I will do shorter walks and longer runs. Last fall I did a 5k with the 1 min/1min and actually beat my previous times by a couple of minutes over when I just ran it. There are a lot of great plans out there and c25k is definitely an awesome one. I have a smartphone, and downloaded the c25k app about a year and a half ago to use on it. It had all the weeks and you could play your own music and you could set it for either a voice or a beep to tell you when to change from walking to running, etc.
One thing that many of us have learned is that sometimes you may have difficulty and it's okay to repeat days or even weeks until you feel comfortable moving on. Many many of us have done that. Also, run slow. Don't try to run too fast too soon or you may find it more difficult and get discouraged. Speed can come later but first build up the endurance both in muscles and in breathing.

Hi everyone!

I just found this team while pulling up my Couch to 5K plan. I'm actually about to leave on W1D1! I have always hated running, but I think this plan will ease me into it and help me to enjoy it.

Does anyone share their training with their dogs?
