Thanks for the warm welcome guys.. I'm excited to continue in the program; finished the first installment of week 1 last night - barely, lol.. Apparently I'm REALLY out of shape :D

Yep! Stretches--after a warm up and after running....also, good shoes made a huge difference for me. Haven't had any knee/hip pain since, and I'm in week 7.

Welcome, Megan! C25K is an amazing program, making runners out of least likely candidates (yours truly included)!

Don't forget to stretch and warm up. You'll save yourself a lot of pain. I do about 5 different stretches before I walk/run and if I forget only one of them, I pay - big time!

You'll find a lot of support from this group as you progress through the program and post your achievements.

Hello!

I've just started this program. I've heard nothing but raves about it do I'm hoping to let it help train me up as well. :)

I just finished my first workout and it kinda kicked my butt, lol. It definitely showed me that I wasn't doing as well as I thought I'd been, and that's okay cause from here I can only go up! ;-) I have a race starting in September (the end of) and I'm hoping to be able to jog the entire 5K for it; or at least have the option to as I'm not sure my friend whom I'm doing the race with will be able to. :-)
