Hi! I'm Michelle and I am new to this team. I am not new to running, but I have gotten way out of shape and I am fighting my way back! Running is by far my favorite form of exercise, but after surgery I was not allowed to run and eventually got out of the habit. I did however, still eat like a runner! So here I am, 80 pounds too heavy and ready to fight for better health and the opportunity to run again! WOOHOO!

A lot of people start to fast in the beginning. It's hard. Also some days are harder than others for whatever reason. It's just that way! I'm glad you've inspired others to do the 5k. It's great to be a role model and get others interested and healthy. emoticon

Thanks! Today was rough- my body only wanted to do 75 seconds of each run, but I think its becasue I'm trying to push too hard when I get started in the morning because I'm really excited about being out there. So I need to learn to pace myself, and to improve my running/jogging stance so that it doesn't feel so bad. But I'm happy to keep it going. I have a whole bunch of other friends starting C25k now because of me, and I really feel good because i'm helping them as well as helping myself.

Hi! I sent you a request to add you as a SparkFriend. I'm at the exact same weight, and I'm new to this training challege as well. (I figured we could help keep each other motivated.) I am starting Week 2 training today. I agree with what was said below. If you're not comfortable running the entire 5K, then walk as needed. You never want to over exert yourself and end up doing harm. Great job so far! Keep up the awesome work!!

Nothing wrong with 9 weeks. emoticon ...if you want to do the 5k with your friend do it at your level. You can walk and run both.

Hi There!
I'm Mea and I started Couch to 5k 3 weeks ago, but I just started week 2 this morning. I've found that for the most part I really enjoy it, but I think its going to end up taking me more than 9 weeks to get ramped up to the full 5k running. However a friend of mine who's been doing a lot of fitness improvements in her life wants me to do a 5k in August, and I'm still of 2 minds on whether or not I'm going to sign up. So I'm here to hopefully get inspiration and support and to share my success when I finally do finish the 5k :)
