A big hi and welcome to all our new members :-)

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

Keep trying - you CAN do it - believe in yourself!

Hello!
My name is Meghan and I am 28 and live in Colorado. I have been interested in running for awhile now and have jogged on the treadmill here and there but I really want to learn to run better and eventually enter a 5k and go from there. I am very excited but I just hope I don't make a fool of myself! lol

Hi. I am new to this team, but not to sparkpeople. I've been on Sparks for 2 years and am just getting back into it after taking some time off to finish up college ( at 50!) I wanted to be able to walk 3 miles by the end of the summer, but because of all the walking at school I did that on Wednesday. So now I want to run that far by the end of July.
I am kind of scared because I have not really run since I was in high school, I hope we can encourage each other to reach our goals.
I look forward to "meeting" you all.

Andi
Take Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. Thou hast given all to me. To Thee, O lord, I return it. All is Thine, dispose of it wholly according to Thy will. Give me Thy love and thy grace, for this is sufficient for me.

It's a great place to start and you have time to get ready. Don't wait or put it off. Start on a program now. Start at your level. If you need to start walking first do that before you start adding run intervals. Make it a fun time and enjoy your journey to a healthy YOU... emoticon

Hello! My name is Betsy. I recently had my 27th birthday, and upon reflecting over the past year, I realized I had not achieved any of my fitness goals. In fact, I actually gained some weight. I need to shake things up! At about the same time, sign-ups for the Color Run in my area opened up (the run will be in October). I have NEVER been a runner, but the couch to 5k program sounds like it would be good for out-of-shape beginners like me! I am determined to see this through, and I'm excited to be part of the team!

I have a webcomic called FRUIT! ...It's about fruit. www.fruitcomic.com/
