I was in the 150s for a very short period of times (days) and then took my eye off the ball and went back up to high 160s.

Losing the weight the 2nd time doesn't appear to be as easy as the first time so I've tried to shake up my routine and added cycling to the mix.

I'm not too upset as although I would love to be in the 150s being in the 160s has kept a big smile on my face after being so heavy for so long. So the fact that I'm continuing to logon each day tells me I'm serious about not gaining back to where I was but if I don't get lower I will not be upset either.

I do like to shake it up and revel in the fact I am now more active then I was - I think I've managed to not let the scale rule my life as it used to.

I was there for 6 months last year and then allowed my weight to creep back into 170Ville. I managed 2 days in 150Ville last year and hope to hit it by end of the month or July and stick there!

I managed to maintain or swing between 163 and 167 for those 6 months last year.

Thanks for posting the strategies that worked for you. I think the Strength Training will be key for me to build up the muscle and rev my metabolism!

If yes, let's get out of here together!

I reached my goal weight of 158 lbs for just a few days in 2009 (Confession: I had the flu at the time! LOL.). BUT I spent all of last May (2009) and most of June right at 160 lbs and I felt very very nice there. I'd be happy if I could get back there (even though my goal is something in the high 150s)

But sadly, my eating has been FAR from consistent for the past 12 months or so. I haven't been able to repeat the behaviours that got me to a comfortable weight, and now here I am about 7 lbs above where I am comfy. I am about 167 right now.

If I can just repeat some of my good habits that got me to 160, I know I can reach it again. Those habits were:

1. Not eating after supper
2. Tracking everything
3. Setting some serious running goals
4. Strength training 2x a week faithfully
5. Banning ice cream from the house and keeping other treats quite tiny.
6. Sticking to easily manageable snacks (not turning to trigger foods at snack time - which seemed to help me not have any binge-like behaviour which I've been struggling with)

Is there anyone out there who can motivate me!????
