Glad you joined the team. It helped me jump the final hurdle to break that 200 barrier.

Leaders pass through here fairly quickly, so just check out all the helpful threads and keep posting. You will make some friends here. See you in 190Ville.

Hi my name is Brandy and im 30 years old. Currently I weigh 252lbs. I can't seem to leave the 250 lb area. I lost 43lbs this year thanks to quitting soda for good! I was almost 300lbs when I finally decided enough was enough! I have walking buddies that I walk with 6 days a week. We walk 4 miles each of those nights. Im looking to lose the rest of the weight and my goal weight is 150lbs. I know I wont be there by the time my wedding comes 11/11/11 but Im going to try to get out of the 200's before then! Love new buddies if anyone wants to add me :)

Hi everyone! emoticon emoticon

I am OFFICIALLY here! Yeay!! emoticon My weigh in this morning was 209.5 so I am OUT OF 210-VILLE! Yeay!!

I joined the Biggest Loser Challenge (BLC) challenge on another group here at SP and it starts tomorrow. I'm excited but it's a lot of work, and it doesn't even officially start until tomorrow!! I hope it gives me tons of motivation.

Welcome to all the new members!! Please check in and tell us about yourself.

My name is Julie and I am one of your team leaders here at Leaving 200-Ville. I started at 230 on January 3, 2011 and am now at 209.5. My goal is 165 by September 4, which is my sister's wedding. I just ordered my bridesmaid dress 2 days ago and it was size 20. Ugh. Would have been a 24 if I hadn't started eating better.

I'm excited to hear about you!

My name is Julie and I'm from Milpitas, California!

Welcome Linda to the Hotel. I will cut and paste the traditional welcome from below, but just wanted to congratulate you on your success. I can't tell you the euphoria I have been in since reaching Onederland. I wrote a blog about it. 190Ville is excellent and I can't wait to have you join us there. So make your stay here healthy and strong, but fairly short.

________

Be sure to check out all the healthy restaurants. There is SAMS Sustaining Soup and Salad bar, the Delicious Deli, the Veri Vegan All you can eat Buffet, Applebees, Subway, and a very excellent fine dining restaurant called The Grand Lodge Special, featuring delicious, nutritious and exciting new foods. Be sure to try the smoked salmon or the Indian curry. The Greek salad is especially scrumptious. For breakfast check out Buffy's Breakfast Buffet. She serves, oatmeal with a choice of toppings including blueberries, homemade preserves, cottage cheese with pears, veggie filled omelets, Greek Yogurt and other mouth watering delicacies.

The swimming pool is on the roof above the tenth floor suite. Check it out. The health spa is on the main floor on the lobby. The conference rooms are scattered on each floor and feature different speakers reporting on different health issues. You can find them in the Healthy Lifestyles and Health Conditions directory. Also, yoga, spinning classes, zumba, etc. can be located in the directory.

Laundry is in the basement. Be sure to use the stairs to to get more exercise to make your stay shorter.

The local parks for walking and running are beautiful. You can rent kayaks to use on the lake. There are hiking and biking trails nearby. There is a neighborhood Humane Society where you can check out a homeless mutt to take for a walk. Have fun and may your stay be very short.

How exciting about the marathon. I limit my posting time to under two hours a day. I don't watch TV, and I need to take frequent planned breaks, so this is a fun way to do it. So just post when you need a rest break.

Please keep us updated on how your training is going for the marathon. When is it?

Thanks Julie - I was in the 210ville for over a year! But really, progress not blah blah blah.. heheh..

Grammacathy - Oh I'm sure it makes sense.. I am not very active on many boards because it takes up too much time (I am training to do a marathon.. I haven't much free time).

Wow, I posted here twice today.. it's still Monday!

Hi Corinna,
I am not sure who set up this team, but they did a good job. Just search around in the threads. It is kind of a simple role play. Not real active, but it helped me to break the 200 barrier.

You are doing a good job with your food and goals. It is working for you. I wouldn't change anything until it no longer works. Refined sugar and wheat were my enemies. I do eat honey, and I love the greek yogurt with the natural honey. It is dessert on top of my oatmeal w/ cinnamon. I take planned breaks from my sugar fasting too.

I joined 190Ville and it is way too quiet. Similar role play with a little different set up. I hope some of you will join me there soon. I will delete myself as leader of this team at the end of April.

Hello,

You lost me on the intro, sorry.. I don't understand the whole floors thing. But that's ok, I'd have to look around the group to get it, I bet. :)

I don't eat much refined sugar as I gave it up for Lent. :) I don't personally have issues with wheat.. I don't eat much of it, so maybe that is why... but definitely do with sugar! Now.. if I have the choice between regular yogourt with sugar or fat free with artificial sweeteners, I will have the regular yogourt.. I also drink chocolate milk after my workouts, which has added sugar, but it's a good for me food.. I am not depriving myself to spite myself.

Happy Monday!

There are a lot of nutrients in whole grain wheat, but it does create cravings for more carbs in people who are wheat sensitive. Try it a few days and see if it is easier or not for you to stay on program. I eat sweet potatoes and oatmeal and some rice to get carbs. I also eat fruit. If it is not a trigger food for you, then you will know by the end of the third day.

I hit 200 today, and will try my best to stay at it, but I seem to have a cycle where I drop weight, gain back 2-3 pounds, then get it back down and stabilize and then suddenly I drop another couple pounds. The overall trend is down, so I never change my tracker unless I get under the previous weight. I am always fighting to stay at the lowest weight.

Thanks for the intro! I am back to my eating habits I started back in July and hopefully I will start seeing some results again! I am sick of being stuck at the 200-205 mark! I feel like once I dip right below 200 I bouch right back up..so irritating! What do you mean stay away from wheat? I thought whole grains and wheat were good carbs?

Hi,

My name is Leslie and I am checking in, but hopefully not for long. I hope to be under 200 by the end of March if not sooner. I have spent quite a long time at 200+ with maybe one visit to onederland a couple years ago but it wasn't a long visit, but I want to get out once and for all.

Hi! My name is Faye! I've made the 200s home for the past couple of years but a little over six weeks ago, I decided enough was enough. I've lose ~17 lbs and have 23 more to go until my ONEderland goal which I hope to reach by the end of May. I've been getting a little sidetracked so I hope this team will help keep me focused on the destination ahead! Thanks!

Hi, I have never been out of ONEderland until now. I gained 40 pounds during the last months and I hope to shred them all away as soon as I can. I hope to leave within the next weeks.

Welcome to the team Hayla and Suzanne.

I even set my ticker in ten pound increments. Little pieces are much easier to accomplish.

I like to weigh in daily or at least every other day, so I can stop the gaining trends immediately.

So come over to the what floor you are on thread and lets get acquainted.

Hi I'm Suzanne. I was here almost a year ago and now I am back after going a little overboard during the holidays. I'm trying to focus on one small weight loss goal at a time. January's goal is to get to (or under) 207 pounds. I'm hoping all my small goals will equal up to help me reach my large goal of reaching 150 pounds. I appreciate any advice or support you can share.

We all grow into the beautiful person that we're supposed to be. Some earlier, some later.

I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I weigh 285 at the moment. My current goal is 180, hopefully by November. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to propose, so I am hoping that I can reach that goal weight for my wedding, whenever that may be, lol.

Good to see you both. By March or before we should all be out of this hotel.

Sarah, you could do it in less than two weeks.

Hello! I'm Sarah. I started out at number 11, 200ville, but I hope to be packing up and moving to Onederland very soon, so I thought I ought to check in here while I still can!

You are four pounds closer to the goal than I am, but I will run up and down the stairs with you a few times. What did you have in mind?

I have been weighing in daily on the weekly weigh in thread.

I also hit the soup bar for a nourishing veggie, bean, lentil, barley and turkey soup. I accidentally thew in some frozen orange juice I thought was squash and it gave the soup a wonderful tang.

Note to self. Hot chile's and orange juice go well together in soup.

Hey, you are in the Penthouse with me. Did you know they stock the bar with V-8 Juice and seltzer water?

Come on over. We can walk up and down all ten flights of stairs till we can move down a floor.
