Most of us seem to require more than one try at quitting, but each time we get better at it. Good luck.

Hi Nikki!

I have smoked most of my life and have quit many, many times. I am approaching another one of those times when I need to no longer smoke. I just came back to SparlPeople this week and already see where the cracks are in the journey to be healthy and smoking is definitely one of those cracks! I will send you good thoughts and see you NOT lighting up! I will join you in doing the same. SparkCheers!

Hi everyone, My name is Nikki and I am 25 years old. I started smoking around 12 years ago and have quit a couple of times before. The first time was easy since I was pregnant. The day that I found out I decided right then and there that I wouldn't do it anymore but I ended up starting back before my daughters first birthday, she will be 6 in October. The second time I quit was about 3 years ago but less than a year later I was doing it again. My husband and I were having marital issues and with the stress of everything that was happening it got to me. I'm done using the same old excuses though. I need to quit, not only for myself but for my family and I am determined to stick it out this time. This is for life.
