Welcome Mark. As a fellow student I know how stressfull school can get. My first suggestion is to take advantage of being out of winter and start by taking a walk around your block. Start walking short distances and build up to longer distances. Don't forget about weight training, but you can start light this way too, pick up some resistance bands to work with during tv commercials. Just remember that you are not the same Marine you were 20 years ago, and it is going to take your body a little while to get use to being stressed again, not to mention the sore muscles. Depending upon where you live, this might be a great time to build a vegetable garden and work it. Gardening burns calories, and is a great stress reliever.

Hi folks, I am a Marine Corps veteran who has discovered junk food, and not exercised a day since leaving the military almost 20 years ago. It is time to reverse this trend and get back to what I know I can be. I would appreciate all the help I can get as I have a long way to go. My weight has caused me to get type 2 diabetes, and I just don't have the energy I used to. I have about 200 lbs I would like to lose, and work full time and am going to an online school to obtain my Masters degree. So if anyone has any suggestions for a true beginner workout for a sedintary lifestyle and an extremely full schedule, I'm all ears...
