Hi. Welcome to the team. I'm sure Vermont is a great place for outdoor activity.
I just relocated to GA from SoCal. Did a lot of hiking in SoCal. Love to hike the 10,000ers.
Here in Middle GA hiking is rather moderate, but it's beautiful nonetheless.
Glad you're back in the game. Be careful not to re-injure.

Hello, All!

I'm new to your group, but have been hiking for as long as I can remember, whenever I got the chance. I have a familiar story of struggling with weight my whole life. I suffered a major/minor (depending on how you look at it) setback last year when I was diagnosed with achilles tendinitis. It meant I couldn't hike, ski, or really do anything physical for a year. Now I'm on the mend, enjoyed a few late fall hikes, and am looking forward to a great ski season.

I am in my early 40s, moved our family to Vermont from NJ last year in pursuit of a more holistic lifestyle, and love the outdoors and nature. I am an adaptive ski instructor and love to hike. And I got a ton of weight to loose so I can be more fit, better enjoy the things I love, and live a long life surrounded by my kids and loved ones.

I think that about covers it.
