That's a short amount of time for all those places, but they are great for getting outdoors! I'm assuming you'll be driving from place to place? The distances in the West can be bigger than they may appear, so check your driving time from place to place, especially if you want to see those areas from outside your car. (and keep in mind, summer is road work time, that will delay drive times also) We were at the Tetons a couple of years ago, and spent hours in the car just getting from there to south Yellowstone, because the road work really slowed it down. Not that it wasn't worth the drive, but if you only have 10 days and 5 parks, you have a lot of ground to cover.

So what kind of activities are you looking at? hiking, climbing, rafting? biking? it's all possible, and it can all be great too.

Welcome to the team!

Hi guys!

I'm a 31 year old grad student studying geology/biology. I love being outdoors, though being in school I don't always get outside as much as I'd like to. We're fortunate to have lots of hiking trails in this part of central PA and I'm trying to take advantage as much as possible now that the weather has warmed up a bit.

I joined this team because I just booked my ticket to fly out for a 10 day hiking/camping road trip with the bf out west this summer. We're hitting the Tetons, Yellowstone, Craters of the Moon, Dinosaur National Monument, and the Rockies before booking it back to Pennsylvania. So excited! But I'd welcome any and all advice. We're trying to cram a lot of outdoors into a really short trip.

Happy hiking!
