Wow that's impressive!

My mum had to go in a home. It sounds a horrible thing but there came a time when it was the best thing for her. She was so much better after she had moved in.

Hello from across the Pond...I'm 73, and I want to lose around 30 pounds more.

And I want to be able to hike again! Two years ago I was the oldest old lady to cross the finish line of a brutal 25K race over three nasty mountains. One of the reasons I was so proud of that is that I was a couch potato. I was not one of these sporty active running women who has been exercising all her life. I trained and brought myself out of couch potato mode.

But now I'm a caregiver, and caregiving has put an end to all that. If this caregiving obligation ever eases up (putting my loved one in a care home, which is what I believe you call them in England - here it's "nursing home") and I can be out and about for longer stretches of time, I want to exercise and regain my health.

Hi! I am 51 years old, and want to lose at least 40 pounds (5 pounds 8 times). I am married with no children, and I live in the UK. I enjoy walking, reading, listening to music, watching films, gardening, and cooking.

Keeping busy, trusting God.
