Lauranc, I grew up in PA and I always thought the area offered stunning hikes and locations. They may not be mountain high trails, but for me, the hike is in the beauty I find along the way.

Kayotic, you must make it to Montana. It is amazing. Where are you at now?

If the hiking is not stupendous in central Pennsylvania, it's still good. And I haven't hiked properly in a long time. I've gotten back to walking vigorously to Curves and getting in my exercise, but unfortunately I'm not hiking like before.

But I'm not dead yet! There's still hope!

Thanks for the welcome LindaKay. Yes, there are amazing places here to hike. We are only about 45 minutes from Glacier National Park and The Bob Marshall National Forestry Lands. Opportunities abound.

Hi Sue and welcome to the team! You sounds like you have great places to hike now! Glad you love it so much! I'm the opposite, and went from the hills and Gila National Forest 10 minutes from where I lived to the flatlands of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. I have found a few small hills and intend to look for more. There is also a nature preserve not to far away that actually does have some hills although not quite like what I had. But if they are around I will find them! Haven't been here long. I did spend 6 weeks with a friend in southern CA and just been back in Texas, now in my own place instead of with my son, for about a month. While I was with her we went to Yosemite and did some hiking there, which was awesome! Look forward to hearing more about your hikes!

Linda

Hi all! My name is Sue, happily married and living in the beautiful state of Montana. Having just relocated from the flat lands of Northern Illinois, hiking is a new activity for me, but find that I LOVE it. Hubby and I hit the trails every weekend until the temps makes it unbearable. We are day hikers, as I do not like to camp. (roughing it to me is a 3 star hotel). Looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing about all your adventures.
