Hi, I am also from Phoenix, AZ. I love hiking here in Arizona. I have been trying to complete the Az Trail, but it will take me a long time! My goal has always been to hike 50 miles a month, but I got busy with working. I hope to get back on the trails more and see if I can do it again!

Welcome to the team - there's a lot of great hiking in Arizona so you certainly have many places to choose from.

We visited the Redwoods this year and it is absolutely gorgeous - I am hoping to go back around Memorial Day to see the elks again when they are first letting the babies come out to play - there are quite a few 'redwood forests' in the same area, collectively managed by the National Forest and State Forest people - they are absolutely awesome - I posted a couple of blogs with pictures - this one shows quite a few of the different redwood forests

And this one shows a little bit of the perspective of just how gigantic these magnificent trees are!!

Hi everyone!

I live in Phoenix, Arizona and I LOVE to hike! I started out on North Mountain as a way to add some variety to my physical activities, and I've done Camelback (one of the toughest mountains in the greater phoenix area) too. It was super challenging and I'd love to be able to do more of it! Right now I'm mostly doing the McDowell Sonoran Preserve - which has a wide variety of trails.

I'd like to go hiking in a variety of places, though - both in Arizona and out of it! I hope to someday take a trip to the Redwood National Forest and spend a few days hiking up there. Pretty much anywhere would be nice! haha.
