Hi all. Been on SparkPeople forever and a day, it feels like, but I have a terrible time trying to get into an exercise routine. So this is yet another attempt. Three days in so far, going well, trying to get up a bit earlier and just add exercise into my normal morning routine.

Hello Everyone!

I am Jackie! I live in Southern California. Second month on Spark People. Loving all the support and resources. I especially like this challenge because it eliminates my excuses to exercise (bad weather, etc.)

I have been stuck at the same weight for a number of years and looking forward to losing weight with a complete program - exercise and diet. I think that was what has been missing. Aside from benefits from losing weight, I am looking forward to more agility and better health with good food choices.

Glad to be part of this team!

Hello, I am Jackie.
We are worthy of love and joy. As is. Right now.

Hi! New to SparkPeople! I am a 39 year old, married mom of three (20, 16, 13). I work as a director of a childcare center, and attend college online. I have always enjoyed a variety of workouts, but my time management skills, or lack thereof have gotten in the way. I have allowed myself to put my family, work, and college before getting some movement in everyday. So, I really appreciate this challenge as it gets me moving, and is achievable.

Not a newbie, but I do a lot of home workouts. Started them in 1990 to recuperate from chemo. Had 2 small children, so got up 30 minutes ahead of them and did workouts with Gilad's "Bodies in Motion."

Hello. I'm Misha. I've been on the site for about half a month now...I think. I feel like I have been making good strides to reach my health/fitness goal nutritionally. I've cut out a lot of the things I used to eat, and have focused on eating home-cooked/low calorie meals instead of just going to the drive-thru for a quick burger. I've been lacking on the exercise goals, though, and really need a push to get it going. This challenge is my push.

I want to become more healthy because there is a long line of genetic issues in my family including arthritis (which I have already been diagnosed with), diabetes, and thyroid issues. I'm nearing the age where most of the women in my family started to experience problems with their health, and I really don't want to continue the trend. I would love to be active throughout my life, and this is my start.

Did you know that I have a YouTube channel?

Hi, New to this team as of yesterday. Have been on SP for 6 years and feel that I am healthier now than ever before. Tracking what I eat and increasing active exercise has made a difference.Hoping to use the exercise and advice from this team to continue.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Phil 2:3-4.

emoticon Hi there, my name is Alicia. This year (2017) is the year for me as in October I am turning 60 and this is the last time that I want to go up and down the yo-yo scale. Over the years I have reached my goal of 130 more times than I can count but I have never stayed there mostly because I let the old lazy 'who cares' habits slip back into my life. I do the 'all or nothing' thing and before I know it I am 10 more pounds higher than when I started the journey. I have made some amazingly great habits of walking every morning first thing from spring to fall. Making all my recipes from WW or Spark People as well as the desserts from these two sites and yet I have thrown them out as well.

I have been a member 3 times of Spark People, deleting the first two accounts when I have thrown in the towel yet again. This last time is the last time and I joined October 2, 2014. This time I am never deleting my account first and foremost because of the wonderful Spark Friends that I have and second because I am sticking with the for the long haul. With the Lords help I will reach my goal and stay there.

My Spark name is Coeuraimant which is two french words - Coeur which is heart and Aimant which is Loving which translates to Loving Heart and that is my focus to both myself and everyone I meet.

Hello all. My name is Nicole and I am 44 and recently lost my very active job and now work from home so I sit a lot. I have been maintaining around the 125-130 pound range for about 6 years now. I joined the home workout challenge to try to keep weight gain at bay. I wouldn't mind shifting things around to make me look better but this is about trying to get back into routine for me and I am hoping a challenge like this will help to keep me moving, and I also have accountability if I don't do the workouts.

Hello! My name is Mara, I'm 46 yo, married, and a mother of two. My current weight is 148 and I would like to lose at least 13 pounds. For now, since I don't want to go crazy, my goal is to lose 8 pounds within a month.
I joined this group a few days ago, July 28th, I'm still new and still learning how to use spark people tools we have. Today I started the 28 day home workout challenge and I feel great! However I don't know the amount of calories burned. Do you have an idea? I'm asking because I'm using the trackers and I would like to log it as my exercise for the day. Thank you!!!

Hi everyone,

I am about 7 days out from my due date to have my 3rd child, daughter. I am looking to start working towards losing the weight I have gained while pregnant. I will be doing modified exercises until I am cleared for full exercise. While pregnant I have been doing at home workouts, as well as walking and biking with my two school age children.

Hi, i'm Teagirl49. I am 50 years old and trying to get into the best shape I can. I have lost 45 pounds in the past 5 months but still have a ways to go. Looking for a plateau buster! Thought I would try changing my routine and adding a lot more activities. Would love to hear from anyone with similar goals or challenges. Thanks!

Hi, I'm Dawn. I am the mother of two energetic boys age 11 and 8 and two fur babies (cats) who are still kittens themselves at 10 months old emoticon emoticon . I turned 36 earlier this month. I have been in an extremely happy, loving relationship with my bf for almost 5 1/2 years now and hope to soon be emoticon , we have also been unofficially trying for emoticon for a little over 2 years now. Although my biometric screening this year said I was "low risk" for everything but weight, BMI and waist measurement I still want to be healthier for my family......I also want to be able to not shop in the Women's department anymore and be able to buy my bridesmaid dresses for the weddings I'm in next year off the rack without as well as my wedding dress when/if I get remarried.

I'm mechel :) Mum to six, foster career, student, wife. I love glam planning, fitness, heath, nutrition, being a mum and Australia (which is where i live)! I currently live in Brisbane, Australia with my Partner(who i refer to as hubby but we aren't married yet,) our six kids, two cats, two dogs! I recently lost 20kg, but its slowly creeping back because i have had a rough last six months. I suffer from anxiety and panic disorder.

I am here to get support with eating mostly. I seem to always fall back into bad habits! I know how/what to do with exercise, and now have the added bonus of hubby being a Personal trainer now. He himself lost 50kg last year. I need quick healthy family friendly meals. I also need to better plan our meals. Sometimes it five oclock and i havent got anything to feed the herd so we grab pizza.

My biggest fear is my children being overweight and having the struggle i have had to lose it. I know i can changed that now! so that my plan :) Nice to meet you all :)

Hi, I'm kd and back for round 3 or 4. I did this before my cruise in 2009 and it was great, then I got complacent, got busy with school and work and didn't worry too much about it. Came back in 2010 and again in 2011, got crazy busy with school and work again.... Graduated and immediately got pregnant. Had my baby who is a stage 5 clinger and made it hard to do anything without holding her. Now, my baby is 2.5 and loves to mousekersize with me.

I did the gym for 8-9 months, but she kept getting sick, so that's been on hiatus for the last 3 months. During that time, I was able to train myself for a 5k and finished in under 45 minutes. I wasn't tracking food, so while I have more energy, I still have all these extra pounds hanging around.

Hi. I joined this group yesterday, and I loved the first day's video!

Lately, the only exercise I've been getting is walking. I have a collection of exercise DVDs, and I taped two seasons of "Classical Stretch" off of PBS, but I haven't felt motivated to do any of them for at least the last few weeks, despite the best of intentions.

I think getting all the reminders from Sparkpeople, and knowing there's a bunch of other people doing the same videos on the same days that I am, will help get me going again.

I'm 60, and I'm trying to protect my joints, so I'm only doing low impact aerobics. Aside from that (and there was no problem modifying yesterday's video), the selections here look like they might be right up my alley. Also, I like that so many of them are short. ;-)

Well I'm restarting for the month of January. I was down 30 lbs and I can't look back on the past only look forward to the future. I have gained 20 lbs of the 30 back so I need to work on that and much more. I have very little motivation due to being in a bad marriage and having 4 children to take care of plus my husband is disabled. I'm going to work very hard to stay on track this year and get my life in order. Wish me luck.

Oh my gosh, I just finished day one and I just kept thinking as I was doing the workout that this one must have really meant to be for day 28! LOL! I had to modify it quite a bit but I didn't quit and that is what is important. I am going to keep tackling that one until I master it. emoticon

I was afraid to commit to this challenge. I found day one very hard, but I did it and day 2 was so much more enjoyable. I will continue. I find it a bit difficult on the days that I work. I can't do the exercises in the morning because I am too stiff. If something falls on the floor in the morning, it stays there till I get home at night. DAY 1 COMPLETE, Has anyone had the orthovisc shots for the cartiledge in the knees...did it help lessen the clicking noise in the knee and your knee pain?

I've done 3 weeks of therapy for both knees and 1 active realease therapy treatment ; I have another a.r.t. appoint this week but think the orthovisc shot maybe can be prevenative measure.

God is careful with me, he has promised a hope and future.

Hello to Day 1! I joined this challenge to get moving, to be active every day. It may just be doing some crunches for 10 minutes or 30 burpees on "rest days" instead of absolutely nothing. I need the momentum and motivation :)

Hey members I'm not new to Sparks, but I haven't been responsive to anything I'm kinda of down because I've been separated from for eight months with good reason. I've have moved to my own place and I want to focus on myself now. During this separation I've been on an eating binge which is not healthy for me as a diabetic with high blood pressure. I have gained 3 lbs with I was suggested to lose 5 lbs by my physician. I am ready now to commit to myself now and lose the weight and get healthy. I hope someone out there can encourage and give me a little boost.

Hi

I've been on SP for a few years now and have had some success in losing weight. I struggle with consistency and letting life get in my way.

I'm looking forward to the challenge!

Hi, I have been getting a little lax in doing regular exercise. I like challenges like this. It helps me get up and exercise on some days I really don't feel like doing anything because I have to post and be accountable. Hopefully this will help me get past the plateau I have been on for so long,

Hi team. I joined the site on 12/11/11 while losing weight. I was getting discouraged and searching the web for a site that I had used before. I found sparkpeople.com and so happy I did. On 12/28/ 13 I reached my goal of 125, losing a total of 122 pounds and have kept it off for 2 years. Until now, I have put about 7 pounds back on, quit exercising and I am eating terrible. I have to stop and kick my butt into gear now. I am hoping this challenge will help. I am disabled and ever since my insurance stopped paying for the pool membership, it is like I have given up.

I love SparkPeople

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I am responsible for my own happiness.

My name is Bonnie I live in CT DST

I went from 258 to 126 pounds and have maintained it since 12/28/12.

Hi everyone, my name is Jane and I am doing this challenge as a supplement to my other exercise. I already cycle and am working on a couch to 5k program, as well as strength training....but what the heck let's add another event...I am always looking for something else that is fun.

I am currently training to ride in the MS 150 which is a 2 day bike ride of 75 miles each day in September. Let's get this done everyone!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS! Thank you for this challenge. When I joined from the blog, I didn't realize that we'd have a team setting for it, too!

I'm Lisa from NE. Been with Spark for years and lost 20 pounds emoticon then gained it back emoticon . I've been reading a lot about the multiple reasons that we gain weight and trying to make some changes. Really needed a challenge to relight the Spark!
